ARTIST STATEMENT Being part of an ever evolving technological generation where images become distrusted and no longer lived through, I find portraiture ever more important. The works though not similar in approach, posse the common qualities of being emptied, ghostly, bare, and diminishing. The sitters are caught in a liminal instant. Left unfulfilled and stripped of narrative the works grapple with humanity and identity.
