I am constantly in the process of getting there, if only through the act of looking.
Lisa Talbot was born, raised and continues to live in LA. She has her BFA from Art Center College of Design and is beginning her second year of her MFA at Cal. State University, Long Beach. Her work is a fictitious scenario; the settings and characters allude to a story but do not constitute a particular narrative. Throughout the process there is a sense of directing or orchestrating her own projections, and then documenting these with the camera. This is a sympathetic photography. What does she feel as a woman behind the camera, and what are the relationships between her subjects; between herself and her subjects. As an artist she is existing on the other side of it, but always inviting the viewer to inhabit the same space as herself.
